East Granby Recreation is excited to announce our Youth Basketball program for 1st and 2nd graders will run for 8-weeks, beginning the week of January 4, 2027. Our program focuses on learning the fundamentals of basketball, developing individual skills, and learning the importance of good sportsmanship and what it means to be on a team. The program will give players an opportunity to play with their friends and make new friends too.Teams rosters may be kept specific by grade or we may combine 1st and 2nd graders depending on the number of registrations received. There will be 2 practices a week that will include both instruction and mini games within each group. One practice will be during the week and one will be Saturday morning/early afternoon. Practices will run for 1 hour in length. The day, time, and location of the practice will be determined by coach and space availability.
